My Life Story

Norman Brown is a GRAMMY-winning guitarist celebrated for his smooth blend of jazz, soul, and R&B. Born in Louisiana and raised in Kansas City, his love for guitar began early and led him to study contemporary jazz in Hollywood before launching a standout solo career in the early ’90s.

Known for chart-topping albums like After the Storm, Just Chillin’, and a long list of fan-favorite releases, Brown continues to shape the sound of modern jazz. He has also found success with supergroup BWB alongside Kirk Whalum and Rick Braun, and through acclaimed collaborations with Gerald Albright.

With recent albums like Let It Go, The Highest Act of Love, and Let’s Get Away, Norman Brown remains one of the most recognized and influential guitar voices in contemporary jazz.
