Jazmin Ghent-Jackson, Ph.D. is an award-winning international jazz saxophonist and educator, celebrated for her soulful blend of contemporary jazz, R&B, and gospel. She first gained attention after winning the Smooth Jazz Cruise Show Your Talent competition in 2014 and has since become one of the brightest rising stars in modern jazz.
Her album The Story of Jazz earned the 2019 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Jazz Album, while Forever Jaz brought another nomination in 2022. Named Best New Smooth Jazz Artist by the Smooth Jazz Network in 2017, Jazmin has performed at major festivals and cruises worldwide, including the Dave Koz Cruise, Napa Valley Jazz Getaway, and Newport Beach Jazz Festival.
Beyond the stage, Jazmin is deeply committed to music education, having taught in Florida schools and led international workshops in places like Haiti and Dubai.
